A selection of team members have attended this morning a constructive meeting with the Vice President for Education, Professor Wyn Morgan. We presented the project and our goals and got support and feedback.
Besides the feedback for the Preliminary Design (PDR), our team members took part in an intensive schedule of lectures and workshops near Munich at DLR site Oberpfaffenhofen !
Team members from different aspects of the project have landed in Munich for to update ESA on the current development of our project, we wish them all the best!
Big thanks to our wonderful team members who successfully ran our first outreach workshop in the students union today. The workshop took place in the context of the Discover STEM programme. Our team members were diligent in answering many curious questions from the aspiring youths that attended and were enthusiastic in promoting the STEM fields through the discussion of our project. There will be more exciting workshops lined up in the future so stay posted!
We are so happy to be a part of the REXUS/BEXUS programme’s 10th anniversary, here is a throwback to our team members’ ESA presentation.
We have been successfully selected on the 10th cycle on REXUS/BEXUS programme by the European Space Agency! Well done to the whole team, now the real fun begins as we make this project a reality until our launch in October next year.
5 of our team members have returned from Holland after a successful presentation in front of a panel of ESA judges. Our project has been commended and received lots of encouraging feedback. This is a milestone event and we will now be advancing our project mission full steam ahead!
The team has been finalising the presentation to the ESA over the past 2 weeks.
Key issues that are being addressed are:
- Sun recognition software
- Astrophysics science
Our project has been short-listed by the European Space Agency and we have been invited to make a presentation of our project at ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. We will be sending representatives from our team on the 29th of November for this exciting event. Best of all, the trip will be funded by the ESA.
